What's Up

I have been pretty M.I.A on here lately. We have been on the go non stop these past few weeks. We are moving from our apartment where we have lived the past 3 years into a house with another couple in the same town. I didn't think that I would be sad to leave our little one bedroom apartment--but I am. It was Travis' first and only place he has lived outside of his parent's home. It was our first home as a married couple--so many fun memories here. All the anniversaries, birthday parties, having new friends over for dinner, setting up & decorating our first home, learning how marriage works, etc.
We only have a few more things to grab from the apartment and then we will be fully moved out. I want to thank everyone who helped. Seriously, we would not have been able to do with without you. On Monday, while Travis worked, I tried to move stuff by myself. I learned quickly that two hands and one car does not get a lot done. So, thank you, thank you, thank you for sacrificing your afternoons and late evenings to help move boxes and scrub baseboards:)
Other fun news--Travis got a job! He starts with Chase Bank in Paradise(20 minute commute) August 15th. He is going to be a Personal Banker. He is sad to leave In N Out and all of his friends there, but excited to start a new job( with full benefits and a salary!) Yup--I'm one happy wife!! We feel so fortunate to be able to stay in Chico. PTL!
We leave for Tahoe tomorrow morning and I will be spending the evening with my momma singing along with Lady Antebellum. (I know, I didn't plan this whole moving and going to a concert thing very well!) Unfortunately, we will only be in Tahoe for two days because we need to be back to Chico on Sunday. That is when I plan on catching up on editing photos and posting some more on the good o' blog!
Well, that is what's up in our lives. I hope everyone has a great weekend and can stay cool in this 90+ degree weather!!
Thanks for following...

Chico Wedding-- Danny & Lauren

Where do I begin? So many things to share and so little space. I keep typing things and erasing because I can't quite figure out how to express my feelings over the marriage of these two wonderful people. I think I will let the photos tell the story & maybe I'll add a few bits of information here and there--Enjoy!
Travis' time with the Groom and Groomsmen.
The Bride and Groom chose to not see each other before walking down the aisle--here is their first look at each other on their Wedding Day.
Mother of the Bride.
The kiss.
The sweet flower girl and ring bearer.
 The Bride and Groom.
And the dancing begins...
After Danny sang a song that he wrote for Lauren.
Some fun photos from the bouquet toss and garder toss...
We had such a fun time capturing and celebrating Danny and Lauren's Wedding Day. We're thankful for their life together and can only think great things of their future as husband and wife! Thank you Wilson and Kerns families for such a great day.

Oh, what flowers can do.

I have been spending most of my time at coffee shops lately. Our internet is down at our apartment(actually, we normally steal borrow it from the office but it disappeared). Also, coffee shops are air conditioned and I get to enjoy a White Mocha all to myself. My hubbys and my "thing" is to hang out at coffee shops together. We love it-- We talk, read, surf the web(is that the oldest internet phrase?!), and just be. When we go to a coffee shop to share a drink, he normally drinks about 75% of it. I'm a slow drinker--I like to take my time and savor the sips of milky goodness. I don't blame him for gulping it down. White Mochas are bomb.

Last night we went to Farmer's Market for a little bit because we wanted to walk around and I wanted  to get some pretty flowers. Flowers on my coffee table truly make me happy. Basically anything I do on the couch is that much better because there are bright, happy, inspirational flowers in front of me. Oh, what flowers can do. We ran into so many friends downtown, which is always a treat! One said "Aw, did you buy your wife some flowers?" To which Travis replied, " I guess you could say that--I handed her the money to get them!" Such a romantic;)
The past few days have been so busy and full of work. We have had multiple Portrait Sessions and two June Weddings to work on. I am sending out the CDs to my clients tomorrow and the last wedding will be done by next week! I love looking through the photos and seeing the faces of people we care for. Weddings and Engagements are especially fun! I will have to do a post sometime on the emotions of a wedding. There are so many photos that truly capture the emotion of that special day--like this one...
The bride's father, who officiated the wedding--deep in prayer. I feel blessed to be able to work with brides, grooms, and their families.

After I've finished the last Wedding, I will be working on all of our photos from San Diego--stay tuned for sweet photos of our niece!
Okay, here is a sneak peek because she is just that cute!!
Well, I am off to edit more photos and enjoy Friday afternoon. I finally unpacked our clothes from last week--if they are lying on our bed does that mean that I have unpacked them?!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for following!
